What settings must I change?

After installing the relevant 3G / Hsdpa Modem, the GlobeTrotter Connect software (or GlobeTrotter Connect for Mac OS) will be installed to manage the connection, allowing for:
- Connect / Disconnect Connect or Disconnect to internet
- Enable / Disable PIN code Enter the PIN supplied with SIM Card
- Username and Password Not required – leave blank
- APN Must be changed to mobile.is.co.za
- Signal strength Shows signal strength gauge
- Technology Preference Choose UMTS preferred/ UMTS Only/ GPRS
Then also change your SMTP Server to smtp.layerone.co.za in your Email client software, such as Outlook / Express / Thunderbird. You normally click Tools > Email Accounts > Servers to change this.
