For no additional charge, you will be able to promote yourself on the Internet. Whether it’s for your small business or your family, the 10 Megabytes should allow you to create a comprehensive website without any hassles.   You can create your website using standard HTML or Javascript website packages, or get a web designer to create one for you. Once completed, you can upload your website content to your Webspace using File Transfer Protocol (FTP) – this FTP software is included as part of our Launcher. Or use the Sitebuider facility to easily create a professional website - no software required

Remember that if you create and upload your own website, you should:

• Use an FTP program to connect to server = web.eject.co.za (or www.yourowndomain.co.za)
• Specify Username = the full MAIN email address
• Specify Password = the MAIN email password
• Be careful of Passive mode and Active Mode (if you have problems then swap to/from Passive mode)
• Ensure your main home page (normally called index.htm or index.html ) is in the root folder on our server (and NOT in a sub-folder)
• Be careful of UppERcAse and lowercase filenames - they must be exact - we suggest lowercase filenames be used
• Watch the FTP login messages which will show you how much percent of space has been used. If full then contact us to increase your webspace
• You can list your website to Search Engines such as www.google.com and www.yahoo.com but there are many issues which must be correct before you do this : Keywords, Meta Tags, Verification, Sitemaps, etc
• If in doubt Contact Us to perform Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) for your website, at an additional fee - to ensure that your website is listed on search engines.

The Free webspace does not support ASP, PHP, Front Page Extensions etc, but these languages and database support including MS Access, MySQL and MS SQL Server are available for an additional fee. We have a number of hosting packages, which may suit your requirements.
